Terms of Sale

 

Our goal at The Good Home is to provide affordable, sustainable, FUNCTIONAL and stylish homeware for sale. We endeavour to provide accurate descriptions of all our products, and prompt and thoughtful service to all our customers. Our intention is that every experience with The Good Home is positive and that you are delighted with your purchase. With this in mind, please note the following:

1)      All items sold at The Good Home are second-hand.

2)      Please read each item description carefully. Where necessary, we describe imperfections with as much detail as possible.

3)      Please examine all images carefully – these facilitate all our descriptions.

4)      Vintage items frequently have flaws consistent with age, and as such, each piece is unique.

5)      Each item is checked for functionality prior to sale, and repaired or restored where necessary.

Owing to the nature of vintage and reloved homeware, returns and exchanges are not accepted, unless damaged in transit

Item Collection

​

Where preferred, purchased items (furniture or smalls) can be collected in Parktown North, Johannesburg.

 

Shipping

​

Smalls: Smaller items can be couriered anywhere in South Africa for an additional fee of R130. Alternatively, items can be sent using the PostNet2PostNet system for R100 (items are sent from our local PostNet branch to your closest PostNet branch where your parcel can be collected). At check-out, simply indicate your preference (courier, PostNet2PostNet, or collection). For international purchases, the cost of collection/delivery is for the buyer’s expense however we are happy to assist with any logistics.

Furniture: Furniture can be delivered in Gauteng for a fee of R300. If you make a furniture purchase from outside Gauteng, please arrange your own collection. We will be happy to assist with any logistics wherever possible.
