Carved Bird with Brass Detail

One doesn't see these all too often, although they have become quite collectible. It's easy to see why given the incredible detail in all the brass-work attached to the wooden carving. Many, like this one, also carry some mother of pearl and all in, they're really pretty. Sadly, one mother of pearl wing has cracked (please see image), but it's not very distracting given the uniqueness of the piece. The origin of these is unclear, but they date to the 1970s.
