Mid-Century Desk
The leather inlay on the top of this desk is quite unusual, and one hardly ever sees desks made like this these days. I believe the desk dates to the 1960s, and while the wood carried some wear at the time of purchase, the leather top has remained in mint condition. We restored and re-sealed the wooden parts and cleaned and moisturised the handsome leather feature. The desk is an in-between size, roomy enough to be useful but not massive which is ideal for smaller spaces. I also love the details - the curvature of the legs, the grooved hand-holds on the drawers, and the ridge engraved into the edge of the table-top. The back of the drawers is closed and looks really smart, so this one need not be puched up against a wall and can easily be stationed in the centre of the room.
Dimensions
The desk measures 122cm long x 61cm wide x 71.2cm tall; draws are 45.5cm long (as measured across the front).
