Lubis Beechwood Rocking Chairs (Each)

I had one of these rocking chairs for years, and it has always been the favourite seat in the house. Despite their relatively petite frames, they’re amazingly comfy, probably because you can comfortably keep your feet on the ground (and rock yourself without too much effort), and owing to the lovely tall spindle back. The subtle details on these beautifully crafted and South African made chairs deserves a special mention. With beautifully carved arm-rests, spindles at the legs that widen and then taper again, and of course the pretty spindle backs, all in a handsome beechwood, they’re a pretty ace pair of occasional chairs. We had new cushions made and covered these in a versatile light sage green.
