Small Storage Bench & Footrest

I've never seen one of these before, or not in this style at any rate. Aside from being super handy, I love this small stool-cum-footrest for the beautiful wood finish, the little storage compartment under the seat (great for newspapers, your latest book, and remotes!), and the worn leather seat. We restored the wooden part, and replaced a couple of the buttons used for attaching the leather to the base, but kept the original leather part. It's a thick, strong leather, suitable for keeping an adult person perched comfortably, and while it does carry some battle scars, I rather like the effect, especially set against the refurbished wood. We did give the leather a clean and buff though, and I'm pretty chuffed with how this rugged little piece turned out.
